The Chartwell Children’s Cancer Trust was delighted to receive an award from The National Lottery Community Fund. The £9,560 ‘National Lottery Awards for All’ grant was awarded to support the Charity’s work and activities with the Childhood Cancer Support Groups.
The monies granted will go towards the funding activities of the groups, in particular, around the Christmas period, including pantomime tickets, travel bursaries, trip expenses and Christmas Parties.
Talking on behalf of The CCT, Lucy Bramley, who submitted the application, commented: “We were so delighted that our application had been successful. This money will greatly help with the planned activities with the Childhood Cancer Support Groups. It will support the delivery of four groups over a 12-month period, including a dedicated group coordinator with sufficient capacity to focus on the longer-term fundraising opportunities to sustain the work going forward. “Thank You to all those who play the National Lottery for without their continued support, The National Lottery would not be able to support local good causes and charities like ours.” Commenting on behalf of The National Lottery Community Fund, Head of Funding Julie Galano said: “Receiving this award is a mark of quality of the work you are doing in your community.”
